Froylan Mena

"In 2005, my pastor, Walter Acuña, shared with me a dream that Kenneth Bledsoe had.  It was about a property where we would be able to take underprivileged children and youth to know the Lord Jesus Christ, a place where they could enjoy and learn more about God.  So along with my family, we began to pray, and God put Camp Brittney on our hearts.

On April 3, 2006, we moved to Camp Brittney, with many dreams and much happiness.  Today we are sure that God brought us to this place.  We have seen God in action in the lives of the children and, little by little, our dreams and goals are being accomplished.  I work full time in the maintenance of Camp Brittney and enjoy every day what God permits me to do in this place."

When Froylan came to us almost two years ago with a desire to move to Camp Brittney, we were hesitant and discouraged them. We did not own the property yet and could not afford to pay him. However in February 2006, he and his family shared in tears with Dayna that they had sold EVERYTHING and knew that God was calling them to Camp Brittney! Froylan, as caretaker, is the only paid staff person with The Brittney Strom Foundation.
